Geared for juniors & seniors interested in auditioning for college theatre programs. We will discuss the process and requirements for college level auditions, offer tips and strategies for college research and audition preparation, and workshop audition monologues.

Shakespeare Shop
A workshop that helps make the bard’s work more accessible and less scary! We will dive into Shakespeare text with monologues and scenes to learn how to score the text, explore voice and speech techniques, and workshop material from Macbeth, Twelfth Night, and Julius Cesar.

Acting Technique: Uta Hagen
A master-class style workshop centered on Uta Hagen’s acting techniques and exercises with an updated approach. This workshop is for students who are passionate about acting and eager to develop their craft.

Intro to Stage Combat (unarmed)
This workshop will cover the basic foundations of unarmed stage combat. Students will apply consent-based practices with a partner and learn how to safely execute a slap, punch, and fall for the stage. Students will then create a scene with a conflict and choreograph a short fight phrase.

This workshop consists of discussions about the business of acting; tips for how to stay in practice, resume/portfolio building, marketing yourself, networking, finding representation, and bringing your A-game as a professional theatre artist.

An introduction to safety and consent-based practices when approaching partner work, particularly in stage combat and intimacy. This workshop promotes actor agency, the importance of self-advocacy, and respecting everyone’s boundaries.
